Cookie notice

The short version

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and nothing here tracks you across other sites. It stores a small amount in your browser to make the things you ask for work: remembering your car, your basket and that you signed in. Because all of it is necessary for a feature you have used, we do not show a cookie banner.

If that ever changes, for example if we add visitor statistics, this page will change first and you will be asked before anything of the kind is switched on.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep and send back.

Name	What it is for	Lasts
`dw-holding`	Remembers that you entered the early access password, so you are not asked on every page. Only set if you enter it.	30 days
`dw-sanity-draft`	Lets our own editors preview unpublished pages. Never set for visitors.	8 hours

Both are strictly necessary, are sent only to this site, and cannot be read by scripts.

Local storage

Local storage is space in your browser that a site can write to. Unlike a cookie, it is not sent to us with every page. These stay on your device and only reach us if you submit a form.

Name	What it is for	Lasts
`dw_vehicle`	The car you saved, so the shop shows parts that fit it.	Until you change or forget the car
`dw-basket`	Build modules you have added to an enquiry.	Until you remove them
`dw-shopify-cart`	The reference for your shop basket, so it survives a page change.	Until you check out or empty it
`dw-first-touch`	How you first arrived: the referring address and any campaign tags in the link. Sent to us only with a form you submit.	30 days
`dw-capture-seen`, `dw-enquiry-seen`	Stops a form telling you twice that you have already signed up.	Until you clear it

Checkout

The shop's checkout is run by Shopify on its own address. When you go to pay you leave this site, and Shopify sets its own cookies there to run the checkout, take payment and prevent fraud. Shopify describes them in its cookie policy at shopify.com/legal/cookies.

Clearing or blocking them

You can delete cookies and local storage for this site at any time in your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data, and you can set your browser to block them. Nothing here is needed just to read the site. Without them you would be asked for the access password again, and your saved car and basket would be forgotten.
